What is Self?

In the realm of photography, my series of self-portraits stands as a testament to both the power of artistic exploration and the pursuit of personal growth. Originally conceived as a therapeutic technique to confront the negative emotions associated with my disability of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, this collection has since evolved into a captivating exploration into the depths of self-identity.

Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, once a source of anguish and frustration, now serves as a catalyst for my exploration. In embracing my diagnosis, I have reached a level of acceptance and self-assuredness that emanates through every frame.

Over the course of five years, my self-portraits have captured the essence of a profound transformation. What began as a means of confronting and understanding my disability has now blossomed into an ongoing journey of self-discovery. With each photograph, I delve deeper into the complex layers of my own being, seeking to unravel the question that haunts us all: What defines one's self?
