Elliot Lovell

Photographer, Printer, Explorer

Hey everyone, I'm Elliot Lovell, a passionate photographer and printer. With immense joy and enthusiasm, I've dedicated myself to the art of capturing moments that evoke emotions, challenge perceptions, and provoke deep thoughts. Graduating from Northern Arizona University with a degree in photography, I have been fortunate to turn my lifelong passion into a fulfilling career.
My journey in photography began during my high school days, when I picked up a camera and embarked on a remarkable adventure alongside my father, who was an avid recreational photographer. Together, we used photography as a means to preserve cherished memories, forging a connection between us that will forever remain etched in my mind. It was through these early experiences that I discovered the transformative power of photography.
One of my greatest passions lies in pushing the boundaries of photography. Whether it's using long exposures to capture the ethereal beauty of landscapes or employing double exposures to create captivating and unconventional portraits, I am constantly on the lookout for innovative techniques that challenge traditional norms. By experimenting with various elements and techniques, I strive to capture the essence of my subjects in distinctive and mesmerizing ways.
Over the years, my work has received recognition and exposure at esteemed platforms such as the Colorado Photographic Arts Center, the Las Laguna Art Gallery, and the Curated by the Sea Contemporary Art Gallery. Showcasing my photographs at these prestigious galleries has not only allowed me to share my vision with a wider audience but has also provided a platform for meaningful dialogue and introspection.
Photography, for me, is more than just capturing images. It is a vehicle for self-expression, a way to bridge the gaps between individuals, and a medium to shed light on the profound intricacies of our existence. I hope that my works inspire a deeper understanding and connection among the viewers, encouraging them to question, explore, and discover their own truths.
